How to apply
The scholarship application period for the 2025-2027 cycle is now open. Please refer to the “programme” section of this website for dates of specific programme modules.
Please note the following:
- General admissions: For applicants who are not seeking a scholarship for non-OECD citizens, please apply for the course ETH online application website. The general application period is open from June 1-30, 2025. If you have questions in advance of the application period or wish to discuss your application, please reach out to to discuss further.
- Scholarship applications: The program has scholarships available for highly qualified candidates from non-OECD countries. Please refer to the "scholarship application" sub-tab on this website for more details. The application period for the scholarships is open until April 13, 2025.
If you are applying for a scholarship and are financially unable to attend the programme without receiving a scholarship, we ask that you please wait to submit a formal application to ETH until after scholarship awards are announced. In other words, please apply first for a scholarship and should you be awarded a scholarship, you can then submit a formal application to the programme through the School for Continuing Education.
In order to make an application for the MAS Mediation in Peace Processes, you will need the following documents:
- An up-to-date C.V.
- A motivation letter
- A reference letter (e.g., related to past work experience, or future career path opportunities)
- A diploma certificate, transcript (of records), diploma supplement (in original language and in D/F/I or E translation) (from the highest or most relevant degree)
- Passport copy or identity card: Scan of your passport valid for at least 6 months: page with photo, name, date of birth, expiry date. Only CH/EU/EFTA valid identity card (front and back), if no passport available
- Declaration of consent, signed and filled out (please download from the ETH School for Continuing Education's application site)
Please also clarify if you are being sent by an organisation (e.g. Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), UN, EU, OSCE, NGO), or if you are applying on an individual basis.

Deadline
Applications for scholarships are due by April 13, 2025. However, you are encouraged to submit your scholarship application as soon as possible. The deadline for formal ETH applications is June 30, 2025.
